Quiet Contemplation

I  contemplate this time of year

in thought, both solemn and sincere

and as my advent candle burns

my soul to tender times returns.

Normality

I don't subscribe to "Christmas Rush",

excess and panic, lots of fuss.

My pace of life’s defined by walking,

making friends, reflecting, talking.

Hark! I hear the voices sing,
'tis Advent, time for carolling.

Perpetual Motion

Walking, thinking, striding out,
I never cease to get about.

Day by Day

My normal mood is bright and jolly,

but lately I’ve felt melancholy!

A flame

An Advent Candle gently burns
whilst a heart for comfort yearns.

Walk Bold, Walk Warm!

To combat morning's bitter cold
I’ll venture out with movements bold.
